Tell Tales

Tell Tales

So, I just had a vision
From God no less
I was shown that my mission
Is to die with the rest
In peace I ask
Why me I wonder
When all that I thought
Tore asunder
Impure thoughts
Which relish existence
Challenge all resistance
Out of belief
Yet
Though good grief
Steered by genes
And thought memes
How could I help myself
To all my dreams
Without feeling guilty
The answer wasn't easy
I'm not off the hook
So I steal away
What everyone took
For, granted
In my mind lie
And in God's eye
While the vision is clear
It is still somewhat slanted
I must give up the ghost
Where the future is planted
It is in this context
I must host
The apocalypse
Where we are all toast
With peanut butter
And jelly

Step

Step It was a liquid land A solid sand A shifting band Creating a brand Of grandchildren Spilling their beans For whom it seems obvious That we are oblivious To their dreams As they can't know That we blow Hard Hardly What it means As it all works out By a beginning In the end Where solid water Message sends Hope from the future Where everything mends Leaning Left and right
